Sixth Annual  Gathering:

"Second  Chance to Success"

Through The Art and Essence of Adulthood, SHINA empowers youth through educational programs that empower, inspire, and support youth to develop healthy life choices and maximize their potential in order to become responsible adults.  Our young adult workshops:

  • Aim to empower young people to develop and maintain healthy relationships as well as promote their talents, ideas, and leadership abilities.
  • Assist young adults with recognizing and understanding the value of developing high self esteem, confidence, dignity and self worth.
  • Promote cultural awareness and develop a spirit of purpose and compassion by encouraging relationships with children in developing countries.

 

Alternative Suspension Learning Program - Second Chance to Success

ASLP, a component of The Art and Essence of Adulthood, provides opportunities for academic assistance and social development to help participants:

  • Stay current with school work while preparing to return to their regular school environment.
  • Evaluate their choices.
  • Find emotional support in safe and supervised environment.
  • Improve attendance and reduce the number of discipline referrals, suspensions and drop outs.
